Outdoor & Indoor Wedding Ceremonies

Your ceremony is the moment everything else is built around — say your vows beneath an open Virginia sky or under timber beams.

At Woodbine Farm, you can say your vows in an open Virginia meadow beneath a handcrafted wooden arch, or exchange rings inside our restored barn with timber beams overhead. Either way, you get a setting built for real emotion, not a stage.

We host wedding ceremonies on a working farm just outside Manassas, minutes from Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., Fairfax, and Prince William County. That means an easy drive for your guests and a countryside backdrop that doesn’t feel staged or overdone.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Space

Our outdoor ceremony area sits on the open lawn, framed by rolling pastures and mature trees. A handcrafted wooden arch anchors the space, and guest seating is arranged so every row has a clear view. It’s the kind of setting that photographs well in any light, but especially during golden hour.

If you’ve pictured a countryside “I do” with green fields behind you instead of a hotel ballroom, this is that space.

Indoor Barn Ceremony Option

Virginia weather doesn’t always cooperate, and you shouldn’t have to gamble your ceremony on a forecast. Our 2,800 square foot barn is climate-controlled, so it works as a full backup or as your primary ceremony space if an indoor setting is simply what you want.

Exposed timber beams, polished floors, and warm string lighting give the barn a rustic-elegant feel without needing extra decor. Ceremony and reception can both happen in the same space, which simplifies your timeline and cuts down on vendor logistics.

Indoor or Outdoor: How to Decide

Most couples choose based on season and how much they want weather flexibility built in. A spring or fall ceremony often works beautifully outdoors, while summer heat or winter cold pushes many couples toward the barn. If you’re not sure yet, that’s normal. During your venue tour, our team will walk both spaces with you and talk through timing, guest count, and backup planning so you can decide with confidence, not guesswork.

Bridal Preparation, On-Site

You don’t need to arrive ready. Woodbine Farm has an on-site bridal preparation suite with mirrors, seating, and natural light, so your wedding party can get ready together before the ceremony instead of coordinating a separate location.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we have our ceremony outside and reception inside?

Yes. Many couples exchange vows on the outdoor ceremony lawn, then move guests into the barn for the reception. Our event team helps you plan the transition so cocktail hour bridges the two smoothly.

What happens if it rains on our ceremony day?

Our climate-controlled barn serves as a built-in weather backup. If you’ve booked an outdoor ceremony, we’ll help you plan a same-day indoor alternative so rain doesn’t derail your timeline.

How many guests can the ceremony space hold?

Our barn and grounds accommodate intimate ceremonies as well as celebrations up to roughly 150+ guests.

Do you provide the ceremony arch and seating?

Yes. The outdoor ceremony area includes a handcrafted wooden arch and guest seating as part of your wedding package.

Is there a space for the bride and wedding party to get ready before the ceremony?

Yes. Our on-site bridal preparation suite is available for your wedding party to use before the ceremony begins.

How do we book our ceremony date?

Browse our availability calendar, then submit an inquiry or schedule a guided tour. Reserving your date requires a signed rental agreement and a deposit, held on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ready to See the Space in Person?

Photos only show so much. The best way to know if Woodbine Farm is right for your
ceremony is to walk the grounds and stand where you’ll actually say your vows.
